Heirly uses Cookies for the following purposes:

  • (e) Analyzing Platform performance and usage trends;

Heirly does not use Cookies to sell personal information in exchange for monetary consideration.

4. Categories of Cookies

4.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

  • (a) These Cookies are essential to the operation of the Platform and cannot be disabled through Heirly's systems.
  • (b) They are used to:
    • (i) Enable secure login and authentication;
    • (ii) Maintain session continuity and integrity;
    • (iii) Support verification and security processes; and
    • (iv) Protect against unauthorized access, abuse, or fraudulent activity.
  • (c) Without these Cookies, the Platform cannot function properly.

4.3 Functional Cookies

  • (a) Functional Cookies allow the Platform to remember user preferences and operational settings, including session continuity and guided workflows.
  • (b) Functional Cookies are not used as the sole basis for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
  • (c) Disabling Functional Cookies may limit certain Platform functionality.

4.4 Advertising and Marketing Cookies

  • (a) Heirly does not currently deploy advertising, retargeting, behavioral marketing, or social media tracking Cookies.
  • (b) If introduced in the future, Heirly will update this Policy and the Privacy Policy, provide clear notice, and obtain express consent where required by law.

5.1 Certain Cookies may be placed by third-party service providers that assist with Platform operations, including analytics, hosting, security, or customer support.

9.1 Cookie-related information may be processed or stored outside Canada in jurisdictions where Heirly or its service providers operate.

9.2 Personal information transferred outside Canada may be subject to foreign laws, including lawful access by courts or regulatory authorities. Contractual and other safeguards are used to protect personal information in accordance with Canadian privacy laws.
